Course Description
Drawing is the process or technique of projection of an object, appearance or idea on a surface.
(Ching, 1998).
The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with drawing tools, paper formats, line thicknesses and qualities, geometric shapes, two and three dimensional objects and space drawings.
In addition to midterm exams and final projects, students will follow the weekly lectures and prepare related assignments.
Assignments and Exam topics will be announced in the relevant weeks during the semester.
Course follow-up will be done through TOBB ETU Remote system.

Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to learn basic technical drawing rules and to solve simple design problems through orthographic drawings. It is aimed to develop the student's three-dimensional thinking skills with the basic technical drawing knowledge. Students are expected to use the concepts such as scale, proportion, proportion, plan, section, appearance and drawing skills in design courses. At the same time with technical drawing exercises, it is aimed to develop mastery of computer programs that can be used in education and professional field.
Course Outcomes
1. Gains knowledge of MEASURE and SCALE by learning the rules of technical drawing.
2. Develops VISUAL and SPATIAL PERCEPTION skills by using digital design and visualization tools.
3. Learns drawing techniques in professional standards. Gains the ability to apply technical requirements in the field of STRUCTURE and CONSTRUCTION.
4. Develops aesthetically and technically effective 2D, 3D and 4D VISUAL EXPRESSION skills.
