Course Description
Textbook and / or References
In Presentation Techniques II course, students make spatial technical drawings using digital drawing tools. In this process, it is aimed to develop technical flow and scaling skills by working on both two-dimensional and three-dimensional representations of basic building and interior elements. Students practice spatial drawing through the applications and assignments given in the course and thus enrich their designs aesthetically and technically. The course strengthens students' spatial perception and enables them to use their drawing skills effectively in their projects.
Drawing programs to be used in the course:
Autodesk AutoCAD
SketchUP
Adobe Photoshop
Textbooks and/or Resources
Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with the scale, technical drawing and presentation skills they will need in project drawings. By using computer aided design software, it is aimed to enrich the technical drawing rules with the theme of the project and the style of the student. At the end of the course, students are expected to gain the ability to make plan, section, elevation and axonometric drawings of basic interior architectural building elements in 1/50 and 1/100 scales.
Course Outcomes
1. Gains knowledge of MEASURE and SCALE by learning technical drawing rules.
2. Develops VISUAL and SPATIAL PERCEPTION skills by using digital design and visualization tools.
3. Learns drawing techniques in professional standards. Gains the ability to apply technical requirements in the field of STRUCTURE and CONSTRUCTION.
4. Develops aesthetically and technically effective 2D, 3D and 4D VISUAL EXPRESSION skills.
