Course Description
TOBB ETÜ İÇT Space Design Studio IV is the first studio taken by students who have successfully completed their first joint education semester. It aims for students to reflect their technical and theoretical knowledge on the project. In this context, students are expected to transfer their practical knowledge to the project in addition to concept development, transfer to the space and project design in accordance with the interior design scale. The project content is determined in a way to meet the educational values of TOBB ETU İÇT program and the gaps in the market. In this way, the agenda is also followed. Students are expected to develop projects that bring new interpretations to contemporary issues.

Course Objectives
TOBB ETÜ İÇT Space Design Studio IV, as a third year std course, aims to train students who have the necessary technical skills, are experienced in presentation techniques and have a good command of interior design project details. As the first std following the common education semester, it aims to enable students to look at application projects from different scales.
Course Outcomes
1. Develops the skills of accessing, producing and transferring information to create a design culture related to the given problem and the proposal to be developed.
2. Develops fine STRUCTURAL KNOWLEDGE skills in the fields of structure, material and detail.
3. Gains the ability to think together with space in the field of furniture design and construction techniques.
4. Gains practical skills and awareness of physical environmental control (lighting, acoustics, plumbing) in space.
5. Develops sensitivity to spatial values such as light, color and texture.
6. Develops 2D (Technical Transfer and Visualization), 3D (Model and Animation) presentation skills.
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: Course Description Course Rules and Scope, Theoretical transfer of course content, Determining the student groups (deciding the working groups)
Week 2: Determination of the design idea / concept / Development of the concept / Project concept presentations, Bringing the first sketches of the project, Bringing 1/100 scale concept project
Week 3: Scale 1/100 General organization decisions, Technical Drawings + Model + Model (Perspective)
Week 4: SCALE 1/100 General organization decisions, Technical Drawings + Model + Model (Perspective)
Week 5: 1st INTERIM JURY, SCALE 1/100 General organization decisions are expected to be made. Technical Drawings + Animation + Material decisions + Color + Lighting + Presentation Techniques
Week 6: SCALE 1/50 Technical Drawings + Animation + Material decisions + Color + Lighting, Improving Presentation Techniques
Week 8: 2nd INTERIM JURY, SCALE 1/50 Development of technical drawings and details + General decisions about the project are expected to be made, Presentation Techniques: Animation + Notebook
Week 9: Scale 1/50 Technical Drawing and development of details + General decisions about the project are expected to be made, Furniture, Presentation Techniques: Animation + Notebook, Products and Materials
Week 10: Scale 1/50 Technical Drawing and development of details + General decisions about the project are expected to be made, Furniture, Presentation Techniques: Animation + Notebook
Week 11: 3rd INTERIM JURY | PRE-FINAL, The project must be ready to the extent expected at the final jury. SCALE 1/50 + Technical Drawings + Details + Material decisions + Color + Lighting + Furniture + Model + Notebook + Animation
Week 12: Final critiques are expected before the final. It will be used as a preparation week for the final.
