Course Description
This course aims to provide interior architecture students with basic knowledge and skills in estimating, quantity surveying and professional knowledge. Students will be able to make accurate analyses from the beginning of the projects and understand basic interior architecture practices such as budget management and material selection. In the course process, which starts with the transfer of surveying techniques, it is aimed to re-functionalize a measured space and to present this new function by preparing an exploration bill of quantities. In this context, students will practice preparing a holistic quantity survey file from the beginning to the end of the project, accompanied by technical and theoretical lessons.

Course Objectives
The course aims to develop students' understanding of the discovery process, quantity surveying and professional knowledge necessary for interior architecture practice. How the graduating students will express all the knowledge they have acquired in the past years in their professional life is studied through a project. Students learn how to take measurements, select materials, draw shop drawings and prepare proposals.
Course Outcomes
1. Gains awareness on the subjects of LAW-REGULATIONS-COST in practical sense.
2. Gains the ability to apply technical requirements in the field of CONSTRUCTION
3. Acquires the ability to apply technical requirements in the field of EXPRESSION the technical requirements.

Week 1: Course Description, Course Rules and Scope
Week 2: Surveying techniques / Homework: Surveying of the space and criticism
Week 3: Survey (ASSIGNMENT EVALUATION) - Evaluation and criticism of the survey, transfer of measurement tools and usage techniques
Week 4: Design Process - Re-functionalization of the measured space with the desired qualities, presentation of the technical document
Week 5: Design Process - Re-functionalization of the measured space with the desired qualities, technical document critiques
Week 6: 1. EVALUATION
