In this course, banking and capital market instruments and the functioning of the markets are discussed with case studies. The functioning of the central bank and other financial institutions is examined from the perspective of the sector. This course aims to establish a bridge between theory and practice by explaining the processes in practice together with the theoretical document. The course will generally cover alternative investment instruments in capital markets. In addition, it is aimed to provide a general perspective with practical examples regarding venture capital investments.

This course aims to understand investment instruments in money and capital markets and the functioning of the markets. The role of banking and financial institutions, venture capital investments, investment funds and partnership models will be discussed. In addition, investment processes, public offerings, exit strategies and global venture capital trends are examined; aiming to provide students with a comprehensive perspective on financial markets.
1. Learn global venture capital investment models and understand the processes related to venture capital investments.
2. Understand the functioning of venture capital investment partnerships and the IPO process.
3. Evaluate the benefits of venture capital investments from an investor perspective, including tax, transparency, and returns.
4. Analyze sectors targeted for investment and learn pre- and post-investment processes.
5. Assess venture capital investments and understand the decision-making process in investment strategies.
6. Understand the legal structures and market operations of venture capital instruments in Turkey.
