Course Description
In this course, students will learn all the steps of the academic article writing process (reading texts closely, developing arguments/theses, structuring arguments, summarizing, revising and regulation).

Course Objectives
This course aims to teach and enable students to do four things aims at: close reading, critical discussion (about literature and culture), research and writing an academic paper.
Course Outcomes
1. Critically and objectively evaluate and analyze texts, information and sources
2. Put forward and articulate arguments with academic/scientific logic; Academic research and writing develop writing skills
3. Develop active, dynamic and close reading skills
4. Important and critical ask questions and develop convincing answers to these complex questions
5. Summarize and paraphrase to develop their skills
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: Introduction/What is a research paper? How can it be thought critically?
Week 2: How to choose a topic/How to narrow the topic
Week 3: How to avoid errors of judgment
Week 4: Mapping Arguments/Writing a thesis statement
Week 5: Designing a paragraph/Organized writing
Week 6: Paragraph design / Writing by organizing
Week 7: Conducting research/Research strategies/Preparing a bibliography of studies
Week 8: Conducting research/Research strategies/Preparing a bibliography of studies
Week 9: Documenting/citing sources/What is plagiarism and how to prevent it?
Week 10: Preparing a draft plan/Mapping the Experiment
Week 11: Style Guide/MLA/Cited Works/Dipnotes and/or Endnotes
Week 12: Draft / Style / Revision and Correction / Finalizing the Text
