Course Description
This course offers an introduction to a brief history of conventional photography, types of photography, the artistic qualities of photography, its fundamental technical and aesthetic rules, the outdoor and indoor shooting.

Course Objectives
Basics of Photography aims to inform students about the basic history, aesthetics, and technical knowledge of photography
Course Outcomes
1. Learns fundamental photography concepts and terminology, establishing a foundation for photographic storytelling.
2. Applies basic shooting techniques by using manual settings (exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO) on entry-level cameras.
3. Analyzes natural lighting conditions to achieve proper exposure and composition in photography.
4. Observes the structural characteristics of objects and spaces before shooting, creating suitable compositions for photographic storytelling.
5. Utilizes the essential functions of cameras to effectively capture the form and texture details of objects.
6. Evaluates the relationships between light, shadow, and color to produce balanced and aesthetic compositions.
7. Develops basic visual storytelling skills through observation and practice, drawing inspiration from daily life.
8. Enhances image quality using basic photo editing techniques in post-production.
9. Effectively applies focus, depth, and perspective elements in photographic compositions.
10. Assesses spontaneous observations during shooting to capture images that reflect the emotional and structural characteristics of subjects.
11. Critically evaluates photography projects to identify areas for improvement in visual storytelling.
12. Integrates basic technical knowledge with aesthetic values in beginner-level photography practice to produce original visual narratives.
