Visual Communication Design
The Perception in Design course progresses through the fundamentals of perception and communication, focusing on the concept of culture. It examines the psychological and ideological dimensions of perception and introduces semiotics.

Through the theories of semiotic scholars, students gain an understanding of how culture shapes all areas of communication.
1. Understands the fundamental principles of visual perception and the core concepts of Gestalt theory theoretically.
2. Explains how perceptual unity is achieved in the arrangement of design elements.
3. Analyzes the relationship between aesthetic values and visual perception in depth.
4. Discusses the role and perceptual impact of symbols within universal visual culture.
5. Identifies key components influencing visual perception processes and evaluates audience experience.
6. Examines the role of Gestalt principles in creating balance, harmony, and unity in design.
7. Interprets the structuring effects of perception in visual communication based on theoretical knowledge.
8. Explains how perceptual organization of design elements directs audience perception.
9. Evaluates visual perception theories in historical and cultural contexts to develop theoretical perspectives.
10. Analyzes the role and impact of perception in visual communication from a critical perspective.
11. Compares different visual perception models and theoretically discusses audience responses in design.
