The Advanced Typography course aims to raise awareness that typography is a powerful tool of visual communication, beyond being a mere text format. It aims to enable students to express different emotions and concepts through typographic design; to make innovative contributions to the field of visual communication by producing original, experimental and creative solutions in analog and digital environments. Thus, participants gain the ability to create works that push the boundaries of typography by using elements such as material, form, movement and composition with a holistic perspective.
1. The student approaches typography across different mediums and applications experimentally, creating contemporary and original typographic works.
2. Explores the emotional expressive power of typography, enhancing message impact through typefaces and layouts.
3. Integrates conceptual thinking into typographic designs, forming strong visual narratives through text and imagery.
4. Explores the relationship between typography and physical/digital environments using different materials and surfaces.
5. Experiences typography in motion media and animation, creating kinetic typography designs.
6. Balances aesthetics and functionality in typographic compositions to improve readability and visual hierarchy.
7. Develops creative and innovative typographic solutions, experimenting with unconventional typographic layouts.
8. Synthesizes typography, illustration, and graphic design elements to produce multidisciplinary and experimental projects.
9. They separate advanced typography techniques, expand and organize their visual and symbolic meanings.
10. They develop a critical perspective in the broad scope of the project, constantly developing and improving typographic research.
11. They create advanced visual communication products by integrating design approaches from different disciplines with typographic solutions.
12. They exhibit the typography projects they produce with professional presentation techniques, and integrate all stages of the design process into the portfolio.
