Course Description
This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of law, the differences between legal rules and other social order rules, legal systems, and branches of law in English. The sources of law, the distinction between domestic and international law, and the subdivisions of law based on public and private law will be discussed. Additionally, students will select an artwork and, within the framework of the topics covered in the course, give an English presentation explaining why they chose the piece, summarizing the subject, and sharing their impressions

Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to teach students the fundamental concepts of law and provide them with a basic understanding of legal systems. By defining the different sources and rules of law, the course seeks to help students grasp the role of law in society. The course aims to raise awareness of the distinction between public law and private law and enable students to think critically about legal branches. Additionally, students are expected to gain experience in delivering an English presentation.
Course Outcomes
1. Recognizes and explains the fundamental concepts of law in English.
2. Compares the sources of law and legal systems using English terminology.
3. Understands the distinction between public law and private law, and expresses their key features in English.
4. Analyzes the role of law in society and its differences from other social order rules.
5. Communicates legal topics in academic and professional contexts using English presentation techniques.
