Course Description
The course is structured into two main sections: architectural developments in Europe, America, and the non-Western world, and 20th-century Turkish architecture. The first section explores the major movements and key architects of modern architecture on a global scale, while the second focuses on modern architectural transformations in Turkey. Throughout this process, fundamental theories of architectural history, significant architectural examples, and architectural discourses will be analyzed in detail.

Course Objectives
This course aims to examine the political, cultural, social, and economic dynamics that shaped modern architecture throughout the 20th century, enabling students to approach architectural history from a critical and analytical perspective. By contributing to the understanding of architecture, urbanization, and design processes in a global context, the course seeks to provide an in-depth analysis of the formation processes of modern architecture.
