The course aims to provide adequate knowledge of building physics and technologies in relation to the social, cultural, and architectural functions of a building to create balanced and harmonious living environments within and around the structure in the context of sustainability. It focuses on responding to and/or adapting to climate conditions and changes.
1. Evaluates physical environmental factors, climate and thermal comfort, energy control, and the design principles of energy-efficient passive climate control systems in architectural designs. (SKILL)
2. Explains the fundamental parameters of visual comfort in interior lighting, including natural and artificial lighting, in alignment with energy-efficient design principles (considering the impact of lighting conditions on the perceived color and texture of materials). (KNOWLEDGE)
3. Assesses physical environmental factors and thermal and visual comfort parameters using relevant digital programs. (COMPETENCE)
4. Works collaboratively with other disciplines in design and engineering fields as part of a team. (COMPETENCE)
