This course is offered to both Psychology and AI majors as a must course. This course will provide you an introduction to the science of psychology. The discipline of psychology is a broad field that inquires the scientific understanding of human behavior across diverse domains. PSİ 103 introduces the topics, concepts, approaches, and terminology that form the foundation of the field of psychology, such as research methods, biological psychology, Sensation and Perception, Consciousness, Learning, Memory and Cognitive Processes.
In homework assignments, psychology majors will answer essay questions about the topics that we have
discussed in the class. For AI majors, homework
assignments involve developing autonomous agents
doing toy tasks in a virtual 2D world. AI majors will
get a grasp about the computational complexity of
cognitive systems by implementing perception,
learning and memory modules to their agents.

It is aimed to present the knowledge of the field of
psychology to the students at the basic level.
