This course will provide an overview of the field of clinical psychology. Topics will include clinical psychology as a profession, research methods in clinical psychology, ethical issues, psychological assessment and interventions, various specialties, and current trends in the field.

In this course, it is aimed that the third and final year psychology students, especially those who want to continue their postgraduate education in clinical psychology, comprehend and understand the basics of clinical psychology.
1. define the basic responsibilities of clinical psychologists as health professionals and understand how clinical psychology approaches mental health as a profession,
2. apply appropriate research methods to the various questions and problems that clinical psychologists are interested in,
3. comprehend scientific principles and discussions of clinical psychology and
4. embrace empirically supported psychological interventions.
