Course Description
Reading texts in the Nesih script from Ottoman chronicles and analyzing their contents to explain old expressions and definitions; reading documents in various forms and in the Nesih and Rik'a scripts from Ottoman archive documents, analyzing their content and structures and explaining them.

Course Objectives
This course aims to enable students to read the Ottoman handwritten scripts of Nesih and Rik'a well. In addition, it aims to familiarize students with these records and to comprehend the expressions and terms used in that period by having them read the scripts from the manuscripts and documents of the period.
Course Outcomes
1. To be able to read Ottoman Nesih handwriting.
2. To be able to read Ottoman Rika handwriting.
3. To have knowledge about the language of Ottoman chronicles.
4. To have knowledge about the language of Ottoman archive documents.
