Course Description
To explain theoretically the resources and research methods related to the subjects of Ottoman social and economic history and to evaluate the seminars prepared by the students collectively.

Course Objectives
To explain the Ottoman social and economic history theoretically.
Course Outcomes
1. To have knowledge about Ottoman social and economic history
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: General information about the seminar and explanation of research methods
Week 2: Information about the seminar research areas
Week 3: Completion of the missing literature information about historical periods (if any) of the students who will conduct research
Week 4: Determination of research areas and distribution of research topics
Week 5: Beginning of literature and information presentations about the researched periods and topics
Week 6: Elimination of deficiencies in the research topics that are opened for evaluation and discussion in class with warnings and suggestions
Week 7: Review and evaluation of presentation and writing rules in terms of preliminary preparations for the seminar presentation
Week 8: Preliminary information and evaluation of the topics to be presented one by one
Week 9: Making final checks before the start of the seminar presentations and determining the presentation schedule
Week 10: Seminar presentation and discussion
Week 11: Seminar presentation and discussion
Week 12: Seminar presentation, discussion and general evaluation

• Participation 30 %
