The works that constitute a source for Ottoman History, starting from the Chronicles of the Ottomans, such as Vekâyînâme, Sultannames, Fetihnames and works written by foreigners that can be a source for Ottoman History are introduced and their importance in Ottoman History is evaluated.

The theoretical and practical preparation, research and writing processes of a scientific study on Ottoman History will be covered.
