In this course, Arabic letters will be taught and reading and writing of printed texts will be done; Turkish grammar rules in Ottoman Turkish will be reinforced with applications.

The aim of this course is to provide basic reading of printed texts written in Ottoman Turkish.
1. Learns the Arabic alphabet.
2. Can read and write simple words and sentences written in Ottoman Turkish.
3. Learns to demonstrate the grammar rules of Turkish on Ottoman Turkish.
Week 1: Teaching the Arabic Alphabet
Week 2: Teaching the beginning-middle-end rules of the Arabic Alphabet
Week 3: Reading simple words written in Ottoman Turkish
Week 4: Reading and writing simple sentences written in Ottoman Turkish
Week 5: Reading contemporary Turkish texts written in Ottoman Turkish
Week 6: Teaching Turkish derivational suffixes
Week 7: Teaching Turkish tense suffixes
Week 8: Teaching Turkish case suffixes
Week 9: Teaching reading, writing and meanings of Persian words
Week 10: Teaching reading, writing and meanings of Arabic words
Week 11: Reading and writing texts in Arabic letters
Week 12: Reading and writing texts in Arabic letters
