Course Description
In this course, students will be taught topics such as phonetics and morphological features of Turkish.

Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to examine in detail the phonetic features and the morphological features related to the nouns in Turkish.
Course Outcomes
1. Learn the historical development of languages and language families.
2. Learn the historical development and phonetic features of Turkey Turkish.
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: Definition and characteristics of language
Week 2: Language-thought relationship
Week 3: Definitions of dialect, accent and mouth
Week 4: Distinction between spoken and written language
Week 5: Classification of languages in the world and the position of Turkish
Week 6: Sound, letter, alphabet, sound formations
Week 7: Vowel sounds, their characteristics and classification
Week 8: Consonant sounds, their characteristics and classification
Week 9: Phonetic characteristics of Turkish
Week 10: Phonetics
Week 11: Phonetics
Week 12: Stress, tone, melody
