In this course, Turkish folk poetry types, style features and subjects will be discussed. By focusing on the close relationship between music and folk literature and the phenomenon of oral culture, examples of folk poetry written by various saz poets throughout the centuries will be examined.

The aim of this course is to examine the stylistic features and subjects of Turkish folk poetry within the framework of the bard tradition, to focus on the relationship between music and folk literature, and to examine examples of folk poetry.
