In this course, important works produced in the 17th century will be examined, the cultural environments in which these works were written will be introduced and their place in literary history will be evaluated.

The aim of this course is to examine the writers and works of 17th century Turkish literature.
1. Learn the names and works of classical literature writers of the 17th century.
2. Read and analyze literary texts from this period.
Week 1: 17th century Divan literature, evaluation of the style of the period.
Week 2: Examination of poetry samples belonging to sultan poets who wrote during this period.
Week 3: Explanation of the characteristics of the hikemi style.
Week 4: Poetry reviews: Nabi.
Week 5: Poetry reviews: Nabi.
Week 6: Providing information about the satire genre.
Week 7: Poetry reviews: Nefi.
Week 8: Poetry reviews: Nefi.
Week 9: Providing information about the Sebk-i Hindi movement.
Week 10: Poetry reviews: Naili.
Week 11: Poetry reviews: Naili.
Week 12: Prose examples written in the 17th century.
