Course Description
This course examines the structures of the glands that make up the endocrine system, the hormones they secrete, the processes of hormone production and secretion, the control of secretion, and the effects of hormones. It includes topics such as the concept of a drug, mechanisms of action, factors that change its effect, drug forms and routes of administration, how new drugs are developed, pharmacokinetics, and dose-concentration-effect relationships.
