This internship includes taking anamnesis from child patients, communicating with the families of sick children, basic examination training and practice, file preparation, theoretical courses, bedside training, and participation in seminar programs. They monitor patients in polyclinics and Child Health and disease services under the supervision of faculty members and assistants.

The purpose of this internship is to protect and develop the physical, mental and social well-being of children and adolescents up to the age of 18, and to provide them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide early diagnosis and appropriate treatment initiatives in the community and at the health center level, regarding child health issues that are frequently encountered and most frequently cause death in Türkiye.

3. Being able to provide consultancy for the prevention of metabolic and hereditary diseases that are common in society
4. Knowing vaccines, side effects and vaccination schedule

6. Knowing growth and its evaluation and approach to deviation from normal
7. Being able to manage a febrile child
8. Knowing the diagnosis and treatment of childhood rash diseases
9. Being able to provide first aid in common pediatric emergency tables
10. Knowing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of common poisonings
11. Knowing the common causes of anemia, diagnostic methods, classification and treatment
12. Knowing how to recognize and treat vitamin D deficiency
13. Knowing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lower and upper respiratory tract infections
14. Knowing the mechanism of allergic diseases, prevention, diagnosis and treatment
15. Knowing the diagnosis and treatment of acute diarrhea
16. Knowing the grading of dehydration and its clinical findings and treatment
17. Knowing the principles of transmission, epidemiology and control of community-acquired and hospital infectious diseases

Being able to explain the epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, pathophysiology and diagnosis of common childhood allergies, endocrinology, infection, gastroenterology, cardiology, metabolism, rheumatology nephrology, neurology, hematology, oncology and respiratory diseases; being able to make differential diagnosis and being able to make basic treatment approaches
