Course Description
This internship includes the recognition and treatment of eye diseases that are frequently seen and require urgent intervention; taking anamnesis before eye diseases surgeries for patients who apply to the eye diseases polyclinic, communicating with patients and basic examination training and practice, file preparation, theoretical courses, and participation in seminar programs. They monitor patients and surgeries in polyclinics and clinical services under the supervision of faculty members and assistants.

Course Objectives
In this internship, it is aimed to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to recognize health problems related to the eye and visual system, to explain treatment methods and to approach urgent ophthalmological problems. It is aimed to recognize patients who need medical or surgical treatment for eye diseases, to evaluate treatment alternatives and to have information about patient follow-up after eye surgeries and possible complications and to learn ways to combat these complications.
Course Outcomes
1. Clinically evaluate and triage eye emergencies
2. Diagnose, differentiate and provide first-line treatment for strabismus, amblyopia, glaucoma, cataracts, keratitis, conjunctivitis, eye tumors, eyelid diseases and uveitis
3. Know the medical and surgical treatment options used in the treatment of eye diseases.
4. Diagnose and differentiate systemic diseases that may be associated with eye diseases.
5. Evaluate the optic disc and retina with a direct ophthalmoscope.
6. Comment on auto refractometry, corneal topography and optical coherence tomography techniques applied in the eye diseases clinic.

Week 6: Uvea, Orbital Diseases and Ocular Tumors,
Week 7: Eye Involvement in Systemic Diseases and Diabetic Retinopathy,
Week 8: Retinal Detachment and Premature Retinopathy, Macula,
