Course Description
This internship includes the recognition and treatment of frequently seen and urgently needed ear, nose and throat diseases; taking history from patients applying to the ear, nose and throat clinic, communicating with the patient and basic examination training and practice, learning the radiological and laboratory methods that need to be performed for diagnosis, and being able to prepare prescriptions for ENT diseases. They monitor polyclinic examinations, patients in clinical services and surgeries under the supervision of faculty members and assistants.

Course Objectives
The aim of this internship is to identify patients who need medical or surgical treatment for Ear, Nose and Throat diseases, to evaluate treatment alternatives, to gain information about patient follow-up and complications that may develop after ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgeries, and to teach ways to combat these complications.
Course Outcomes
1. To know diagnostic methods of ear, nose and throat diseases as well as medical and surgical treatment methods
2. To learn the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in common ear, nose and throat diseases
3. To know and diagnose ENT emergencies, to learn the diagnosis and treatment of infections
4. To perform ear, nose, oral cavity, nasopharynx, larynx, hypopharynx, oropharynx, neck, vestibular system examination
5. To observe indirect laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, and flexible nasopharynx laryngoscopy performed in the ear, nose and throat diseases polyclinic
6. To observe audiometry and tympanometric examinations
7. To observe ENT surgeries

Week 1: Examination techniques in ENT,
Week 2: Hearing loss and hearing assessment methods, Ear Diseases,
Week 3: Symptoms in ENT, External ear, inner ear, middle ear diseases,
Week 4: Diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses,
Week 5: Oral cavity and oropharynx diseases,
Week 6: Larynx diseases, neck masses,
Week 7: Maxillofacial traumas, Practical Applications.
Week 8: Salivary gland diseases, ENT emergencies,
Week 9: Nasopharynx Diseases, Facial nerve diseases,
Week 10: Tinnitus, Practical Applications
Week 11: Rational drug use in ENT,
Week 12: Practical Applications
