Course Description
This internship covers preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative evaluation and care in anesthesia practices, preoperative preparation and anesthesia application for invasive and noninvasive procedures inside and outside the operating room, acute and chronic pain management, treatment of critically ill and polytrauma patients in intensive care and operating room, resuscitation, monitoring and treatment of patients in intensive care conditions, basic and advanced life support (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) practices.

Course Objectives
The purpose of this internship is to provide information on anesthesia applications, acute pain management, to teach the necessary applications to prevent complications and complication process management, to recognize patients who need cardiopulmonary resuscitation and to teach treatment methods. In addition, they learn the diagnosis and treatment methods of patients with organ failure in intensive care units, and patient monitoring methods.
Course Outcomes
1. To be able to use hypnotics and sedatives used in anesthesia
2. To recognize and treat hemorrhagic shock
3. To recognize sepsis, perform resuscitation treatment
4. To be able to perform basic and advanced life support
5. To perform blood gas analysis
6. To ensure safe airway patency, perform mask ventilation, apply LMA

Week 1: Introduction to Anesthesia: General Anesthesia and Inhalation Anesthetics,
Week 2: Airway Management
Week 3: Intravenous anesthetics
Week 4: ARDS
Week 5: Blood transfusion
Week 6: Brain Death
Week 7: Arterial blood gas analysis, Shock
Week 8: 3-Sepsis septic shock, Fluid Electrolyte Imbalances and Treatment
Week 9: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Acid-base balance
Week 10: Local anesthetics
Week 11: Pain mechanisms, Acute pain and treatment
Week 12: Chronic pain, Case presentations
