Course Description
To provide interns with the necessary skills to perform emergency diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with working principles under the supervision of specialist physicians in the emergency department where emergency health services are provided, and to send them to the necessary units by providing appropriate referral conditions when necessary.

Course Objectives

To ensure that the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained in the pre-clinical and clinical training periods of medical education are applicable in emergency health service delivery areas.
Course Outcomes
1. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, creates preliminary diagnosis and requests basic diagnostic tests
2. Interprets basic examination results
3. Learns multidisciplinary approach to patient
4. Plan the laboratory and radiological examinations required for differential diagnosis
5. Plan the patient's emergency treatment and write the appropriate prescription
6. Closely evaluates and monitors the condition of critical patients (vital and clinical findings, laboratory results)

8. Learns how to evaluate forensic cases and prepare forensic reports
9. Performs diagnostic and interventional practices
10. Works as a team and improves communication skills with patients and their relatives
11. Ensures that patient records are created regularly.
12. Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures (IV and IM injection, opening vascular access, preparing treatment, inserting a urinary catheter, taking urine, blood and throat cultures).
