Entrepreneurship has been one of the major topics in Economic Geography, Regional Science and sociology in recent years. When concepts such as entrepreneurship, clustering and economic growth are studied in a wide range of summers, such as Economic Geography, Regional Science and sociology, entrepreneurship activities are met in common with one of the main elements of local and regional growth.

To develop the skills of reading, analyzing and discussing scientific and commercial texts in Russian, to develop oral communication skills in commercial and academic environments. To teach students to make presentations on economic and geographical issues.

3. Students can analyze which region is profitable to start a business based on geographic location.
Week 1: Key concepts: economic geography, regional economy, entrepreneurship.
Week 2: The impact of geographical location on business development.
Week 3: Examples of successful regions and cities with active entrepreneurship.
Week 4: Analysis of maps and statistics of entrepreneurial activity in Russia and the world.
Week 5: Cases: Silicon Valley (USA), Skolkovo (Russia).
Week 6: The impact of natural resources on business.
Week 7: Geographic factors of production distribution.
Week 8: Transport infrastructure and logistics.
Week 9: Cases: oil and gas regions, industrial Urals, agricultural regions.
Week 10: Urban infrastructure and its impact on business.
Week 11: Examples of successful enterprises from different cities of Russia and the world.
Week 12: Final exam
