Program Information
The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at TOBB University of Economics and Technology was established in 2011. The department operates under the Faculty of Architecture and Design. The program offers a contemporary educational approach based on the cooperative education model, integrating technical, aesthetic, and functional requirements.The four-year undergraduate program consists of a total of 12 terms. Students complete the first five terms within the university, and starting from the sixth term, they alternate between one term at school and one term working in professional settings to enhance their practical skills. Through this model, students graduate with approximately one year of work experience. The language of instruction is Turkish, and the curriculum is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.The education program is structured around four main categories: Culture, Presentation, Building, and Studio courses. The program's foundation is based on the Vertical Studio method, which enables students from different academic years to work together in the same studio environment, sharing their knowledge and skills.

Students who successfully complete this program are awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.
The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design program is a Bachelor's degree program, classified as Level 6 in the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ).
To obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, students must successfully complete 294 ECTS credits (147 national credits) and achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.

Candidates must have completed secondary (high school) education and obtained a sufficient score in the appropriate category of the national central placement examination.If the content of a course taken at another institution matches the content of a course in this program and is deemed equivalent, the student may be exempt from that course upon the approval of the Department Board and Faculty Administrative Board.
Examinations and assessment methods are defined in the "Course Teaching Plan" section of each course’s information package. The evaluation of exams and course grades is conducted in accordance with the relevant articles of the TOBB University of Economics and Technology Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations.
The program is conducted as a full-time first-cycle education.
