History Bachelor's Degree Program

Program Outcomes

1) Understanding and explaining the basic concepts of history and its relationship with other sciences.

2) To have theoretical and applied knowledge regarding the science of history and its sub-disciplines, and to practice within the scope of a joint education program in relevant institutions.

3) Knowing and criticizing the basic sources of historical science, the languages and contents of these sources, and evaluating the information in the sources with impartial and scientific analysis methods.

4) Critically and comparatively examine historical events and information produced by different schools of history.

5) Having detailed knowledge of one or more historical periods.

6) Ability to carry out a project or study on the understanding of a historical problem alone.

7) Utilizing other disciplines to understand complex problems and taking active part in teamwork.

8) Being able to recognize personal deficiencies and developing a lifelong learning attitude to overcome these deficiencies.

9) Sharing thoughts on issues within the scope of the field of history and solution suggestions for a problem by turning them into a scientific study with experts and non-experts.

10) To follow scientific sources published in foreign languages on history and other social sciences; to understand what is read in at least two foreign languages and to communicate with experts on the subject.

11) Making technology a part of their work, using computer and communication technologies at every stage of their research.

12) To have awareness of ethics and responsibilities regarding the profession of history and to act accordingly.

13) Acting with a sense of social responsibility and developing projects related to the society and culture in which one lives.
