Program Outcomes

1) Has knowledge of different advanced theoretical approaches supported by textbooks containing up-to-date information, application tools and other resources in the field of psychology.

2) He/she has basic application skills for psychology applications.

3) He/she has basic knowledge and/or skills regarding measurement-evaluation tools used in different sub-fields of psychology and psychological assessment principles.

4) He/she is aware of the contributions of the basic approach and perspective of psychology to other disciplines and interdisciplinary perspectives.

5) He/she has knowledge about developments, research, problems and applications in the field of psychology in Turkey.

6) Has the ability to conduct independent research using the knowledge and appropriate research methods (qualitative/quantitative) obtained in the field of psychology (Generates research questions using their knowledge in the field of psychology; uses a scientific problem-solving, critical thinking approach and interprets the results obtained.

7) Has the skills to collect data, analyze, interpret and report using appropriate statistical methods.

8) Has the ability to report research results in a format appropriate to scientific writing format.

9) Has the competence to use information and communication technologies required for accessing and disseminating information.

10) Has knowledge of relevant legislation and/or professional and ethical values ​​in the fields of activity of psychology.

11) Has basic knowledge/skills in observation and interview techniques.

12) Has the understanding that characteristics and differences such as age, gender, race, ethnic group, national identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability and socio-economic status should not be a cause for prejudice.

13) Generates research questions using their knowledge in the field of psychology; uses a scientific problem-solving approach and interprets the results obtained.

14) Contributes to scientific studies that will contribute to the development of the field of psychology and those that benefit society takes responsibility in activities.

15) Has the ability to inform individuals and institutions on issues related to psychology; to convey his/her thoughts and solution suggestions for problems in written and oral form.

16) Has the ability to share his/her opinions on studies on issues related to psychology and/or solution suggestions for problems with experts and non-experts based on data.

17) Has the ability to follow information in his/her field and communicate with colleagues by using English, which is the dominant language in psychology literature, at B1 level.
