Program Outcomes
1) Obtains knowledge about the structure and processes involved in metabolic activities so that the human body can remain balanced and healthy. Demonstrates the knowledge acquired by explaining the mechanisms and processes.
2) Presents and defines the causes and progress of diseases, clinical signs and symptoms, and genetic, microbiologic, toxic, environmental, social and other factors that deteriorate or prevent the state of being healthy.
3) To be able to perform the profession, the person has the necessary "cognitive" behaviors such as compiling and evaluating findings, choosing the appropriate method, evaluating diagnostic interventions and test results, making a diagnosis, "psychomotor" behaviors such as examining, applying diagnostic tests, and making interventions, and "attitudinal" behaviors such as showing the necessary care and respect to the patient.
4) Fulfills her skills and abilities obtained during her medical education at primary care by putting her patient in the center and in the framework of ethical principles and holistic view.
5) Performs all protective, diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative medical practices required at primary care for each age group by her medical education. Plans practices according to clinical priorities.
6) Being aware of the limits of her knowledge, consults other health professionals and institutions when necessary.
7) The knowledge, skills and attitudes possessed are used by continuously improving them.
8) Performs the task without any discrimination between individuals or groups, prioritizing human values, ethical principles and professional responsibility in a way that creates an appropriate role model for other colleagues and society.
9) Records practices as necessary, using the correct technique and environment.
10) As part of the health team, biological and non-biological elements that may affect health in the society in which you are responsible can be identified, and the results obtained by using data to identify and solve problems can be interpreted according to basic epidemiological principles.
11) Has knowledge of national legal regulations related to the community in which health services are provided. Monitors and evaluates the impact of these regulations on the community for which he/she is responsible and shares his/her evaluations as appropriate.
12) Carries out all necessary initiatives and practices, including public education, within the scope of duty and responsibility to protect the health of the community served and to improve their own health and health status, and sets an example for the society with positive health behaviors.
13) Handles every experience as a new opportunity for learning. Determines the need for learning and continuous education and training independently. Evaluates information sources by evidence-based medicine principles and methods.
14) Contributes to the improvement of current and creation of new knowledge and practices in line with practices and needs; evaluation and distribution of this improved / new information as an individual or as a part of a team.
15) By using Turkish competently, communicates with patients, patient’s relatives, colleagues and other related professionals in writing and verbally. Uses appropriate terminology considering the individual’s education level she is communicating with to ensure correct understanding of the concepts and professional terms she is talking about.
16) Knows at least one foreign language at a level that will enable him/her to understand, interpret and communicate with professional literature.
17) Shares the information obtained during professional practice and scientific studies with appropriate individuals and institutions, using appropriate materials and methodologies and adhering to ethical principles.
18) Respect and be sensitive to beliefs, ethnicity, gender, disability and other cultural, social and physical differences. Forms a mutual professional communication ground for patients, patients’ relatives and other healthcare professionals considering aforementioned differences.
19) Assembles teams when teamwork is required, and determines and provides the educational and training needs of team members. Able to perform effectively as a team member or team lead within the area of responsibility and with awareness of others’ roles and responsibilities and by other team members.
20) Basic planning, organization and management principles are understood and can be put into practice under necessary conditions at all levels of health services. Evaluate the applications in question based on your own experiences, determine development needs, and support the studies carried out to increase efficiency.
21) By its area of responsibility, it uses the resources allocated for health services most effectively, taking into account the public interest.
22) Manages his/her career correctly.
