Course Description
In the course, the existing space is re-measured; plan, section, elevation and detail drawings are obtained. In the content of the course, the concepts of conservation, cultural heritage; theories, techniques and processes related to the protection of cultural heritage are explained with examples. Examples of architectural heritage conservation with adaptive reuse are examined. In order to protect cultural heritage with aesthetic, historical and documentary values and to transfer them to future generations, civil architecture examples, monuments, etc. structures are examined and interior relations are established.

Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to raise awareness and inform the student in this process by emphasizing the necessity of protecting architectural works of historical and cultural value. In this context, it is aimed that the student will gain knowledge and awareness on condition assessment, measurement and documentation techniques, conservation and adaptive reuse.
Course Outcomes
1. To gain awareness on architectural heritage protection
2. To have knowledge on measured surveying techniques and methods
3. To create a cultural infrastructure that can form the basis for the adaptive reuse of architectural heritage
4. To comprehend the current effects of recent examples on the conservation and adaptive reuse of architectural heritage
