As a contemporary concept, the place and effectiveness of sustainability in interiors is discussed. The relationship of interior architecture discipline and interiors with the concept of sustainability is questioned. Design criteria for sustainable interiors are discussed in the context of interior space formations, materials used in interiors, energy use in interiors.

Sustainable Design course aims to understand the effects of sustainability as a contemporary concept on interior design, to evaluate the importance of this concept in the discipline of interior architecture and to create environmentally friendly spaces using sustainable design criteria.
1. Explain the concept of sustainability and its importance in interior design.
2. Analyze sustainable design criteria in interiors and develop application methods.
3. Evaluate the environmental impact of materials used in interior spaces and produce design solutions that optimize energy use.
