The course begins with defining the physical space requirements of stage and set design. In addition to covering theme selection through various examples, it also introduces the drawing, modeling, and production techniques used in set design. Fundamental spatial concepts such as perception, light, and color in stage design are presented, and the connections between thematic composition, play, directing, and stage design are examined. The physical space requirements for stage and set design are defined.

This course aims to teach students the fundamental principles of stage and set design, define physical space requirements, and establish a thematic design process. Students will learn how to utilize drawing and modeling techniques, as well as spatial elements such as light and color, in stage design. Additionally, they will develop an understanding of the aesthetic and functional aspects of stage design and enhance their practical skills through applied exercises.
