In this course, students will learn the social, political, historical, philosophical and cultural characteristics of the period, dramatic genres and learn about their traditions. This course aims to learn and analyze the English theater from the Middle Ages to the seventeenth century.
1. The main characteristics, roots and development of English theater in the Elizabethan and Jacobin periods To have sufficient knowledge (at the undergraduate level) about the phases.
2. To have knowledge about the major, important plays of the periods. To be able to produce analytical approaches.
3. To be able to analyze the basic dramatic dynamics of the plays studied. To be able to define their characteristics.
