Course Description
This course provides students with the ability to think critically and analyze texts. With an interdisciplinary approach, literature and exemplifies the relationship between environment.

Course Objectives
This course aims to introduce students to the theory of ecocriticism, which has developed rapidly in recent years. Human-environment relationship, non-human beings, the relationship between humans and the environment and the causes and consequences of these relationships literary texts is discussed. The power system constructed with an anthropocentric approach and the destructive consequences of this system as well as new systems to be established with the principle of sustainability are the main topics to be discussed through the texts.

1. Understanding ecocriticism as an interdisciplinary field of study
2. To understand the relationship between feminism and environmental studies
3. To analyze the approach to the environment in literary works
4. Critical approach to anthropocentrism
