The course aims to assist industrial design students beginning their careers in setting clear goals and creating the necessary documents, presentations, and communication elements to achieve those goals.
1. Can follow global design trends, communicate effectively in international environments, follow the contemporary professional practice, and develop and initiate new business ideas.
2. Can express ideas effectively in written, verbal and visual forms and improve professional communication skills.
Week 1: Introduction to the course objectives, content, and semester plan.
Week 2: Resume - 1 (For 2 different career options) Exploring different resume options and practical applications.
Week 3: Resume - 2 (For 2 different career options) Exploring different resume options and practical applications.
Week 4: Cover Letter - 1 (In Turkish) Writing cover letters for different career options.
Week 5: Cover Letter - 2 (In English) Writing cover letters for different career options.
Week 6: Digital Portfolio - 1 Preparing a portfolio that collects a design student's knowledge, skills, and projects.
Week 7: Digital Portfolio - 2 Continued preparation of a digital portfolio.
Week 8: Digital Portfolio - 3 Finalizing the digital portfolio.
Week 9: Web Portfolio - 1 Creating and updating a personal webpage for an industrial design student.
Week 10: Web Portfolio - 2 Continued work on creating and updating a personal webpage.
Week 11: Creating a resume and profile on online platforms
Week 12: Using online platforms where designers can showcase their resumes, projects, and accept freelance work.
