Course Description
This course is based on the complex, multi-layered and productive relationship between architecture and media, and designed in parallel with the architectural design studio. Traditional and contemporary media -other than built architecture, in which design thinking exists and architectural ideas gains visibility will be analysed; the multidisciplinary and multifaceted nature of media facilitating the production of different content in architecture will be discussed.

Course Objectives
To provide students the opportunity to integrate and synthesize the experience, knowledge, and skills associated with architectural practice and theory, gained in the undergraduate program;
To expand theoretical perspective, they will use to create the conceptual framework for their studio work, in the context of contemporary architectural studies and discussions in Turkey;
To develop the ability to use contemporary and traditional design tools, media and information technologies efficiently, effectively and interactively.
Course Outcomes
1. Develop and present design thinking effectively by using contemporary or traditional media and tools;
2. Increase awareness of the multidisciplinary, multifaceted nature of different media that intermediates the production of different contents in architecture;
3. Combine different media and representation methods creatively and fluently in constructing, creating, and presenting design thinking;
4. Synthesize knowledge, experience and skills gained during the undergraduate program;
5. Discuss contemporary theories, approaches, media and means of expression in the field of architecture and the city.
