Course Description
Literary criticism course examines the historical and theoretical foundations of literary criticism and the basic characteristics of traditional and modern critical theories.

Course Objectives
To introduce the sources and development of literary criticism in Turkish and Western literature through texts.
Course Outcomes
1. Understands the information about the historical and theoretical foundations of literary criticism.
2. Recognizes the basic characteristics of traditional and modern critical theories.
3. Learns to approach works in Turkish literature in the context of theory and criticism.

Week 9: Other approaches to criticism (Reception Aesthetics, New Criticism, Postmodernist Criticism)
