In this course, Turkey's Regional Economy, Turkey's geopolitics and economy are examined, including energy resources, services and products. The course also covers the development of resources and products, market structures, regulations, regional agreements and environmental impacts.

This course aims to advance students' general knowledge about Turkey and Turkiye's regional economy. The course aims to provide students with information about concepts such as Turkey and regional economy, public institutions and governance. The weekly readings, discussions, activities, simulations, group projects and presentations in this course aim to make the class more interactive for online sessions.
The main objectives of the course are;
• Gain general knowledge about regional economies and policies of Turkey and surrounding regions (such as the Middle East, Central Asia, the Balkans and the Caucasus) as well as energy diplomacy and recent developments.
• Understand very basic concepts of political economy and natural resources and their relationships with other disciplines.
• Understand and interpret the interaction between national and regional economies and internal dynamics, foreign trade, energy security, emerging markets and environmental issues.
• Gain basic knowledge about the roles of private sector, government and civil society organizations in the development of foreign economic policies.
• Develop analytical approaches to current issues.
• Transfer the knowledge and experience gained from the course to their academic and professional lives.

2. To be able to determine the main factors in the international system, analyze and/or criticize them verbally and in writing.
