Course Description
This course provides students with information about the financial and economic factors that multinational companies will need to operate abroad, the structures and strategies of multinational companies, the contribution of multinational companies to the world economy, their effects on the balance of payments, and the cost-benefit analysis of the multinational company.

Course Objectives
Students who successfully complete this course are expected to be able to analyze the structures and investment decisions of global multinational companies. They are expected to be able to evaluate and discuss/criticize the effects of multinational companies on the global, regional and national economy within the framework of these analyses.
In addition, the political, economic, cultural and social effects of these companies on a global scale will be examined. The roles of multinational companies in the world economy, their positive/negative effects on international development and the environment, and their relations with states/international organizations will also be examined within the scope of this course.
It is aimed that students can transfer the experiences and knowledge they gain to both their academic and professional lives.
The in-class activities, simulations and presentations to be held throughout the course aim to ensure that students exhibit more interactive participation.
Course Outcomes
1. To know the main debates and issues related to multinational corporations (companies) in the global economy. To be able to use these gains in an analytical and critical manner for the rest of their education and business life.
2. To determine the effects of multinational corporations on global, regional and local economies (their effects on the host country economy) in different sectors and to develop their ability to analyze them systematically and critically, both verbally and in writing.
3. To be familiar with the basic concepts of international economy,

5. To develop basic research skills on issues related to the global economy and to be able to determine the relationships of multinational companies with other areas (such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals).
6. To determine the structures, strategies and working methods of multinational corporations and to discuss them analytically.
7. To provide the necessary theoretical knowledge in order to examine the economic and political factors affecting the investment decisions of multinational corporations and to analyze their contributions to the changing world economy.
