This course aims to examine the fundamental concepts of social entrepreneurship, its connection with sustainable development goals, and various models of social entrepreneurship. The course will cover global and local examples of social enterprises, enabling students to analyze the profiles of social entrepreneurs and create sustainable business models through group projects on selected social enterprises. Additionally, the course will discuss methods for measuring the impact of social enterprises, the role of technology and innovation in social entrepreneurship, ethical principles, and leadership skills. By combining theoretical frameworks with practical applications, the course aims to raise students' awareness in the field of social entrepreneurship and encourage them to develop their own entrepreneurial ideas.

Week 1: Introduction to the Course and General Framework – Purpose, content, evaluation system of the course and importance of social entrepreneurship.
Week 2: Sustainability and SDGs – Concept of sustainability, its relationship with social entrepreneurship and contributions of SDGs.
Week 3: Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship – Definition, basic concepts, differences with commercial entrepreneurship and NGOs, history and importance.
Week 4: Global and Local Social Entrepreneurship Examples – Examples of social enterprises from Ashoka, Skoll Foundation and Turkey.
Week 5: Student Presentations: Profiles of Social Entrepreneurs – Presentations on life stories, motivations and initiatives of selected social entrepreneurs.
Week 6: Social Entrepreneurship Models – Commercial, hybrid and socially focused models, sources of income (grants, donations, investments).
Week 7: Social Impact and Benefit Measurement – SROI, Theory of Change and success criteria of social enterprises.
Week 8: Midterm Exam Week – Covers the theoretical content of the first 7 weeks.
Week 9: Technology and Social Entrepreneurship – Digital platforms, social media, crowdfunding.
Week 10: Leadership, Communication and Ethics – Leadership, effective communication, stakeholder management and ethical principles for social entrepreneurs.
Week 11: Group Work and Preparation – Social impact, business model, sustainability analysis of selected social enterprises.
Week 12: Group Presentations and General Assessment – Group presentations and general assessment in the field of social entrepreneurship.
