Course Description
Social responsibility projects are carried out with UGİ 326 Corporate Communication and Civic Works -Elective Course. Civic works/Social responsibility projects are projects carried out to raise generations who are sensitive to social issues, identify social problems and find solutions to problems with the spirit of cooperation, coordination, team and volunteerism among science and art disciplines in order to develop a culture of living together in society and strengthen the ties between universities and society.

Course Objectives
To learn the social problems selected from socio-economic and environmental fields,
- to contribute to the solution of these problems with innovative applications by taking a key and leading role.
- To gain experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and teamwork on a specific topic (Civic works, social problems).
- To develop social skills, emotional intelligence, teamwork, communication, time management and creative thinking skills.
- To strengthen students' resumes with the experience of social responsibility projects in job and internship applications and interviews.
- to recognize and networking with key stakeholders (government, companies, associations, non-governmental organizations, other universities and educational institutions, etc.) related to the topics studied.
- To gain experience in Presentation, Communication, Documentation, Social Media, WEB design and teams and inter-team activities created for the period.”
Course Outcomes
1. Will have the ability to plan, implement and execute civic works projects.
2. Can develop business ideas, generate creative solutions to problems and establish a new venture.
3. Can work effectively in a team and in different cultural environments in a variety of tasks.
4. Can communicate effectively orally and in writing and have critical thinking skills.
5. Have knowledge and awareness in the fields of sustainability and civic works and understand the relationship of his/her field with these issues.
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: Scope of Social Sensitivity Projects, working areas, main actors: Transferring existing studies to students with examples.
Week 2: Determination of Activity Topics; defining the problem at the social and individual level, determining the “goals” to be achieved.Planning: 2- Determination of “activities” related to the goals- Determination of resources, stakeholders, beneficiaries for the realization of activities- Implementation schedule and division of labor.
