Course Description
This course will cover the intellectual movements that emerged in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and the people who represented them. The sources of these ideas and their impact on the transformation that the Ottoman Empire experienced in the last period will also be discussed.

Course Objectives
To better understand today's intellectual and political debates by examining the roots of the intellectual movements that have left their mark on Turkey in the 20th and 21st centuries.

1. To obtain information about the intellectual movements that emerged in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and the people who represented them.
2. To provide the opportunity to better understand current events with this information.
