Course Description
In the Judicial Correspondence Procedures course, the fundamental principles and procedures of judicial correspondence are covered, including general petitions and petitions submitted to judicial bodies. The course includes petitions related to civil cases, such as petitions for filing a lawsuit and answering a claim, amendments, appeals, and cassation petitions, basic petitions related to administrative jurisdiction, and basic petitions related to criminal proceedings. It also covers legal correspondence types, such as memorandums, records, judgments and decisions, and announcements. In the course, students are taught examples of petitions, instructed to write petitions, and are required to prepare a file related to a specific case, thereby gaining the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

Course Objectives
The primary aim of the Judicial Correspondence Procedures course is to equip students with the skill of writing general and judicial petitions. In this course, students are provided with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply the theoretical knowledge gained in other law school courses before graduation. They are taught how to prepare petitions to be submitted to judicial bodies and what to pay attention to while writing these petitions.
Course Outcomes
1. To be able to master the basic concepts of judicial writing and correspondence at an advanced level, taking into account their reflections in practice.
2. While applying the rules of judicial writing and correspondence, he/she determines the legal problem, identifies the relevant legal norm, performs the subdivision activity, and thus has the ability to analyse and think.
3. Has a command of the basic concepts and positive rules of each branch of law and has the ability to apply and analyse them to the concrete case through the petitions he/she writes.
4. Has a command of the ways and methods of asserting rights before the judicial authorities.
5. Has the ability to work both individually and as a team member in the face of complex legal problems through the petitions he/she will prepare.
6. Has the ability to report and present the information he / she has reached as a result of his / her researches in the field of law in accordance with the scientific writing format.
7. Has the ability to carry out judicial proceedings in electronic environment through UYAP.
Tentative Course Plan
Week 1: General and basic information about judicial correspondence procedures
Week 2: General (ordinary) petitions to be submitted to institutions other than judicial bodies
Week 3: Petitions for civil cases, elements of petitions
Week 4: Examples of Case Petition on Commonly Filed Cases in Civil Litigation
Week 5: Reply pleadings, reply to reply and rejoinder pleadings in civil cases
Week 6: Some other basic pleadings related to civil cases and examples related to them
Week 7: Petitions of appeal and appeal regarding the legal remedy in civil proceedings
Week 8: Basic petitions related to enforcement and bankruptcy law and examples related to them
Week 9: Basic petitions related to administrative judgement
Week 10: Basic petitions related to criminal proceedings
Week 11: Basic petitions related to constitutional judgement
Week 12: General information about other judicial writings and correspondence and petition examples
